About the Surveyor

Kyle MacDaniel

Kyle MacDaniel is a marine surveyor, thermographer, captain, and lifelong waterman with a deep working knowledge of boats from the inside out. His experience goes far beyond inspection forms and checklists — it comes from years spent operating, maintaining, restoring, repairing, and relying on vessels in real-world conditions.

With a background rooted in boating, spearfishing, fishing, diving, vessel restoration, marine service, and damage inspection, Kyle brings a practical and highly detailed perspective to every survey. He understands how boats are built, how they fail, how they perform offshore, and what matters most to owners, buyers, insurers, and lenders.

Kyle's approach is thorough, objective, and grounded in hands-on experience. Whether evaluating fiberglass construction, aluminum vessels, wood boats, propulsion systems, coatings, electrical systems, moisture intrusion, infrared findings, or overall vessel condition, he focuses on delivering clear, defensible information that clients can actually use.

His work is shaped by a lifelong connection to the marine environment. Time spent fishing, diving, spearfishing, running boats, and restoring vessels has given him a practical eye for details that are often overlooked. He understands the difference between cosmetic issues, maintenance concerns, structural defects, and safety-related findings — and communicates those distinctions clearly.

Kyle's goal is simple: provide honest, accurate, and useful marine survey and consulting services backed by real experience on the water and in the yard.

How We Work

Independent. Objective. Clear.

Independence

Findings are based on observation, industry knowledge, and professional judgment. Payment source does not influence report content, opinions, or conclusions.

Technical Depth

Real-world experience across construction, operations, and inspection. Understanding what damage looks like, what caused it, and what the documentation needs to support.

Clear Reporting

Reports are written to communicate clearly to people who need to make decisions — insurers, adjusters, attorneys, vessel owners, and repair professionals.

Defensible Findings

Opinions and conclusions are supported by inspection findings and available evidence. All Coast does not overstate or understate beyond what the physical evidence supports.
